We build free tools — robots.txt generator, llms.txt creator, ai.txt generator, sitemap generator, ads.txt generator, .htaccess generator, meta-tag generator, OG link previewer, word counter, and robots.txt tester — plus plain-English guides that explain how AI systems interact with your content.
Who runs CrawlGuards
CrawlGuards is an independent project founded and operated by Akash Parmar, a developer building free web tools. The site is run as a one-person independent project: guides are researched from official documentation and tested where possible, and our AI-crawler database is updated as new bots appear.

CrawlGuards was created to give every website owner — from solo bloggers to enterprise publishers — clear, actionable control over how AI systems interact with their content. Our free tools help small businesses, content creators, and webmasters protect their digital work as AI fundamentally changes how information flows on the web.
Our Story
In 2023, Akash noticed his tech blog's traffic had dropped 40% year-over-year while content quality remained unchanged. The reason? Users were getting answers directly from ChatGPT and Gemini — answers built from his original research, without credit or traffic. When he investigated how to protect his content, the available tools and platforms were scattered and confusing. So he built the tool he wished existed. That weekend project grew into CrawlGuards — a free, comprehensive AI-crawler toolkit for webmasters.
How we work
- Researched guides: every guide starts from official sources (Google, Anthropic, OpenAI documentation and published specifications).
- Tested where possible: crawler behavior claims are verified against real robots.txt responses and tool output before publishing.
- Maintained: guides carry visible update dates and are revised when crawler behavior or official guidance changes.

We never store URLs or data you enter. All tools run server-side with no logging.
